Why double spacing when typing a message?

Hi Aseem/Mods:


When i type a message , like now, and i press enter to go to the next para, why does it double space?


Like this, do u see the space wasted between this line and the one above it? I think because of this our threads seem very long even though they just have 20 replies. Is there any solution?

I too face something similar but wierd....


When i hit the reply button the dialogue box that opens displays Arial but i cannot type until Verdana appears.....


How can i rectify this, as most of the times, when i am done typing the entire text vanishes and i have to redo it again

Im guessing everyone faces the same problem... i feel the best is to wait till the page gets loaded

I face this problem only while posting from Internet Explorer. It works fine with Mozilla Firefox.
See. No double spaces!!!

I think its something to do with how the XML code is interpreted in IE. In IE if you press Shift+Enter it does not double space. Mozilla is fine though.

Let my try what AKLDELnonstop has suggested and see for myself what is happening, else will ask the tech support for help
Yes Shift+Enter does help in IE and is such a relief.  Could you please explain wonders/uses of Shift+Enter?
