DHL and call signs
Permalink Closed

Visit this url and notice http://eu.airliners.net/photos/middle/2/3/7/1136732.jpg

Details of this picture: DHL Cargo, Boeing 757-236(SF),Regn # G.BIKO.

My question:

Why does DHL have all its call signs on top of the cockpit windows also!

Other examples are also from DHL

IC and 9W jets also have their regs mentioned on their foreheads. Saw VT-EPI yesterday with it.

Apart from the Reg nos on Aircraft Forehead

The Markings on the NLG doors help too when driving on the Perimeter road to locate an Aircraft.

The Location,Size & Colour of the Nationality & Registration marks are as per the Regulatory Authority of the Country concerned. In our Case DGCA specifies it in Civil Aviation Requirements & Indian Aircraft Rules.
