The news is that AAI had auctioned this aircraft (A Fokker-27) off to recover parking and other dues from East-West Airlines.


 It was bought by a Pune based Aeronautical institute and was being transported by road there.

The newspaper said something about a Rajasthan based institute

Finally its left the Bom Tarmac.There are a few more that need to go,importantly namely


VT-ECP [Ex Skyline NEPC B732] & VT-SID [Air Sahara B734].

Whats the rpoblem with VT-SID???


B734 supposed to be new

Unofficial sources.....State that VT-SID is Economically difficult to Restore.Personally I find it sad that the challenge is not being accepted to get this Aircraft flying again.I've seen worse incident Aircraft flying very sucessfully after Mx work,when experts have written them off economically.

Seems sad... but as it is S2 is in a debts now.


But not getting it back to air seems to be a bigger loss...737-400 is quite a successful aircraft...had it been a 737-200 then maybe S2 could have ignored it. But 734 has to be quite a good aircraft.


Maybe S2 should consider getting India Delta back to work

S2 knows best as they are aware of the Reality situation.However every day is an addd loss with the Aircraft not flying.
