BTW the White puff at the NLG would be paint dust from the Tarmac.

just bought this Nikon Coolpix S4 for myself.  It has 10X optical zoom (35mm equivalent of 38-380mm) plus 4X digital zoom.  A stop gap arrangement before I buy DSLR.  My film SLR was coming out too costly for aviation photography



At the moment weather and paucity of time is preventing me from spotting.  Might have more time next month.

Any ideal cameras we can buy for spotting

well if not million dollar then at least this is a two grand question.  Here are few points



  • You need to have DSLR.
  • Buy none other than Nikon or Canon.
  • You need an extra telephoto lens with 300mm range.

Here is my dream Nikon D80 with Telephoto 70-300 ED VR lens, but I am nowhere near accomplishing it
