Indian to introduce direct flight between Bangalore and Male Bangalore, Oct 26 (UNI)
Indian would be introducing an international air link between Bangalore and Male (Maldives) from November 2. The non-stop flight would be operated with Airbus A-320 aircraft, offering 20 seats in Business Class and 125 seats in the Economy Class, an Indian release said. Operating five days a week, except on Tuesdays and Fridays, flight IC 965 will leave Bangalore at 10.30 am and reach Male (Maldives) at 12 pm (local time). In the return direction, flight IC 966 will leave Male at 1250 pm (local time) and reach Bangalore at 3.15 pm, it said. The new link would cater to the growing outbound and leisure traffic from India and particularly to the booming travel market out of Bangalore. It would also facilitate both expatriate Indians in Male and also the Maldivians, traveling to and from India for various reasons such as medical assistance, studies, besides tourism, the release said.
There was an airline with a 737-300 service from Mumbai to Seychelles routing via-MLE. This was the cheapest way for us in the North to get to MLE. Apparently service sucked with cabin crew not knowing english!!
My firends who went honeyooning in Male took UL from BOM: got a cheap fare even though it meant routing via-CMB: A320 on BOM-CMB and a widebody on CMB-MLE!
