It could be that the bird is more than 25yrs old now and guzzles fuel like patiale ka auto-rickshaw and has endurance limitations, and most importantly sucks the hell out of maintenance and pilot costs.
Can be possible... as Himmat said its an old aircraft besides dad saw a Kingfisher Airlines aircraft a bit different than regular aircraft at BOM with security personal ( about 6) around it. Could be his ACJ

Cool scene! So why is a Transmile A/c being taken apart in India? I've seen their main base is KL. Unless this a/c was the same one that crashed a couple of years ago (Can't remember which 727 it was).
Gotcha!!! Now i remember this one more clearly. This was the one where there was some suspected APU malfunction which actually turned out to be wires which shouldn't have been there. Around June/July right?
1. It was a 727
2. It was in BLR
3. It did get beat up structurally beyond airworthiness
4. The Left Wing was a goner.
The a/c i saw in BLR meets the above criteria. I don't think i'll fly into BLR again for a long time.
The airplane was being readied for towing following maintenance to repair a fuel leak. While the auxiliary power unit was operating and providing electrical power to the airplane, the LH Fuel tank Exploded.Inspection of theairplane revealed substantial structural damage to the left wing in the area of the fuel tank.
