Air India's lounge in Mumbai is charming in an Ashoka Hotel in Delhi sort of way. It looks good and feels plush until you acclimatize yourself after a few minutes and realize that below the surface, babu-ism still rules. The internet stations have rickety computers that take an ungodly long time to connect, there are no self-service stations for coffee, tea or snacks, and the loos are a tad on the smelly side. Waiters do come to you and offer you drinks and snacks as many Indians prefer, but many non-Indian travellers prefer self-service, and AI has no clue how to cater to them. There are no shower facilities as AI hasn't created a real international hub in Mumbai and I suppose the few people who change planes in Mumbai are those coming in on AI metal from BLR, HYD, MAA, etc.

Domestic Airport at BOM (terminal 1A) still lacks a proper lounge... dont know why still even Mallya hasn't demanded a better one for his KF First passengers
