Air India rang in its Platinum Jubilee celebrations with a laser show and fireworks at its headquarters at Nariman Point on Sunday. Seventy-five years ago, on October 15, 1932, JRD Tata flew a tiny single-engine de Havilland Puss Moth from Karachi to Mumbai via Ahemdabad. Then called Tata Airlines, the carrier was re-christened Air India and converted into a public limited company in August 1946.

CNN-IBN has been saying in 2 bulletins that Praful Patel has unveiled AI's new emblem, that will replace the Centaur.

Am just hoping that this is wrong.
