Nowadays JUMBO KING Vadapav has been doing the rounds of Mumbai. A straight success story.


They even have a website it seems.


Earlier to eat vadapaos we used to get nostalgic and go to Thane, Dadar BB in the book stall lane, Worli in lane opposite Mela, Camp Near Garden Pune, Ramakant Lonavala, Shivaji Park, Mithibai College.....but now a lot has changed

I really miss the Vada Pav in Bangalore. I have not been able to find a proper Vada Pav anywhere here.

Wow i never knew vada pavs wud be so excitement arousing


Frankly speaking i still miss my school canteen's vada pavs.

Vada Pav over burger anyday.


Chai especially the adrak one over coffee (be it ccd or barista or mochas)


Pav Bhaji, Chole Bhature, Pattis, Pani Puri, Sev Puri, Bhel...............dont ask yar......You can take the man out of India, but you cannot take INDIA out of the man.

A modified version of the gazal, "Yeh daulat bhi lelo, yeh shaurat bhi lelo"

"Yeh McDonalds burger bhi lelo, yeh Dominos pizz bhi lelo,
par mujhe Lauta do woh college wala vada pav, woh bholenath ki pani puri"

Here i would like to add a foreword


Though i do not know Sir Mel personally and have neither ever spoken to him, his caring attitude and help towards the generous cause of the eye camp which we had organised, helped us to promote and spread our word to a lot of people.


People like Mel are diffferent and such people are special, rare and yes ones to be cherished.


I think even Deaphen started a thread suggesting MEL Indian Aviation GOD or not......I totally agreed with Deaphen and suggested, AMEN
