who decided that on the wings... the Red Nav light is on the left and the Green Nav light on the right...? any explaination behind it? really wanted to know... thnks

It was decided long ago so that u can identify that whether the aircraft is coming towards you or along with you

most of aviation is an off-shoot of naval stuff, since that was the only benchmark available at that point in time and more imporatantly trained manpower!
