The reduced fares on offer are available from 22 airports including Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Thiruvananthapuram, Vizag, Madurai, Kochi, Delhi, Mumbai, Pune and Goa.
The fares, which would only be available if there is an empty seat on the flight, are sold on a first-come first-serve basis, said senior airline officials.
Air travellers can look forward to a fare bonanza from Indian this lean season. After increasing the number of seats allocated to the Unchecked Fares, the lowest fares available in the industry, the airline is now offering ?Spot Fares? from August 1 to Sept.30, 2006.
Spot Fares will be available as ‘X’ Class fares or Unchecked Fares, on select flights a few hours prior to the departure of the flight, for travel on flights out of six metro cities -- Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata , Hyderabad and Bangalore. Tickets bought against Spot Fares will be valid for travel only on the flight for which it is issued. No refund will be permitted against cancellation of the ticket.
Spot Fares are available for travel on domestic sectors only, in Economy Class. Other conditions for Unchecked Fares will apply for Spot Fares also.
