KOCHI: All the 135 passengers and crew of an Indian flight from Chennai had a miraculous escape after the aircraft's nose wheel got jammed and made an emergency landing at Kochi airport on Friday evening, airport sources said.
Common news for IC because media tends to higlight what ever happens to IC or AI. This is not a very serious problem. Any experienced captain can tackle this and it could have happened with any airline.

Airport sources said the flight, scheduled to land here at 0940 hours landed after a two-hour delay. After landing, the aircraft was on the runway completing the landing procedure when the tyre burst.
The alert pilot noticed this and managed to bring the plane to a safe halt, much to the relief of the passengers and crew.
All the passengers expressed their gratitude to the pilot and co-pilot for their timely action, the sources added.
Saw this plane just before it was landing at around 11.30 a.m. and told my cousin that she was pretty late.
Aircraft was VT-EHD.
Left for Singapore pretty late too on Aug 14. Sch dep was 0055 hrs but took off very low and noisy at 0215 hrs.
Long long ago when i was about 7yrs i was flying BOM-TRV in an IC A320 and we had some probs when takin off from TRV it was an engine fire we landed back at TRV the engine fire extinguishers were deployed it was the left engine and i was on the left window

The Airbus A320 left at 6.15 am and returned safely at 7.15 am, airport sources said The flight would leave for Port Blair tomorrow morning after repairs, they said. All the passengers were accommodated in city hotels, the sources added.

Indian flight returns to base after midair technical snag
Chennai, Aug 16. (UNI)
A Port Blair-bound Indian flight (IC 549) with 86 passengers and seven crew members on board, returned to the base, an hour after take off from the Kamaraj Domestic airport here today.
Airport sources said one of the engine of the Airbus A320, which left at 0615 hrs developed a technical snag mid-air. The aircraft landed safely at 0715 hrs.
The authorities tried to set right the technical snag till 0900 hrs, but as their efforts failed, they asked all the passengers to alight from the aeroplane.
While the authorities refunded the fare to those opting it, other passengers were asked to come to the airport to take their journey to Port Blair tomorrow, the sources added.
