It's time someone steps in.

A case of keeping up with the Jonses?

An airport every 2 km?

Let's see what happens.

But the Aranmulla strip/site is used for NCC glider flights and crosscountry Flying Club practice flights from Tamil Nadu to Kerala. Most of it is over thick jungle.

It is not as bad as I thought, most of NRI's/ PIO's here are from that specific area. They are not asking for Intl. which would be too much. In Toronto also we have many airports nearby which is not Jonses. But I thought the Kannur one was one.

Hi VOTV. Welcome.

If this goes through, then it will be Thiruvananthpuram, Kochi, Kozhikode, Kannur and don't forget Mangalore all withihn 15 to 40 mins of each other by air.

Except Kannur, all the rest are international.

But the arguement of most people here being NRIs will eventually lead to it being put up for international status.

And just across the border are Tiruchirapalli and Madurai clamouring for international status.

No harm done as far as Pax are concerned, but it could bring down the trafiic of COK/TRV.
