Got an email from my travel agent:

Thai Airways INTRODUCES HYD

Thai is proud to announce the commencement of its sixth Indian online destination – Hyderabad effective October 31, 2006. With this new service Thai would have a total of 33 flights a week to Bangkok ex – India.

Daily flights ex – Bangalore, Delhi and Mumbai, five times a week ex – Kolkata, four flights ex – Chennai and thrice a week ex – Hyderabad would ensure that we offer smooth as silk service to Bangkok and beyond to your esteemed customers.

Hyderabad would be served with an AB6 aircraft as per the following schedule:

Flight Number From/To Days Departure Arrival
TG329 BKK - HYD 2,4,6 0830 1040
TG330 HYD – BKK 2,4,6 1150 1640


And indeed - the flights are loaded on the GDS and can be booked. Good news for TG and Hyderabad!

The TG flight competes with a one-stop IC flight (2 times a week - coincidentally TG flies on both those days). Any bets on how long before the IC flight becomes a non-stop and more frequent?

Now HYD will have which foreign carriers?


EK-DXB,SriLankan-CMB,SQ-SIN,MH-KUL,LH-FRA,KL-AMS,QR-DOH....any others?


Wonder if HIAL or BIAL will be ready first? Hopefully BIAL will since it started wayyyyyyyy.....b4
