congrats dude, and what a coincidence. I was the exact same flight on my way to london, when you took the photograph. In fact i was in the window seat just behind the wings on your side
congrats! vivek. It also happens to be among very few photos of BOM on A.net. And if that happens to be that of AI's B747-437B, then all the more better.
a wonderful start indeed. I suppose this is the first pic of an AOG taken from outside the terminal ! It was an amazing moment when this pic was taken, esp with the huge aircraft turning on the edge and blowing all that dust !!
I took this photo from my sony-ericsson w810i (2 megapixel) camera phone just before boarding and the other one is from my original seat. Unfortunately i was moved from that seat to another due to a baby :) wanting more leg room LOL. This was before you took your picture of my plane :)
Yes, an Olympus FE150 with its 5 megapixels should be good enough for spotting. However, the results depend on the location, weather, lighting, speed of the a/c & camera settings.
Try using the "sports" mode for capturing moving a/c as this offers fast shutter speeds. For stationary/very slow-moving aircraft use the auto-mode but switch of the flash to capture the aircraft in natural light.
