Successful spotting in DEL!!
Permalink Closed

Hello Everyone:

I am new to this board, but the people who are on a.net should know who i am, atleast i hope! So anyways, i am in Delhi currently for an internship (law) and i thought that since chandigarh (hometown) doesnt have any air traffic worth wasting time on, i thought i would waste some time in Delhi! :)

So anyways, me and saurabh_101 or whatever his user name is.. hehe.. sorry saurabh... we went to the coolest plane spotting spot i have ever seen. This place is the "Parthya Sarthya Rocks or open air theatre" in the Jawahar Lal Nehru University in Delhi. I must say that this place is like heaven! Thanks to one of my friends, i was taken to this place.. and then saurabh and me went there to spot a bit.

The first day was very hazy and muggy and cloudy but we saw insane aircraft like an AN-124, MD11's (Cargo), 777's , etc.

I have taken over a thousand photos, and am currently in the process of editing them and resizing a few to post on a.net or myaviation.net.

If anyone wants more info about this place, please feel free to contact me anytime.

Regards

Nitin

Anybody planning to come over to YYZ?  I know Nimish, Saurabh and Subin have reasons to be here.  I'm sure you'd let us know before you come.

I thought the An-124 of Volga Depnyr was ferrying the a/c for the Farnborough Air Show. I saw them load up at BOM some days ago. Was this ferrying the a/c back?

Also, have seen an unmarked 747-200F in BOM a lot of times, its painted white and haven't been able to see the regn on this a/c any clue who's operating this one?

Also, saw an unmarked 737-700 the other day at DEL just had a blue stripe running through it, any clues?

Again, a Global Express has been parked at the DEL domestic terminal for 3 days now, any clue on this one?

Atlas Air Cargo used to operate an All White B747 Freighter a few Months ago.Probably Awaiting Painting during Major Check.

If ever you see the albino 743/744s at BOM they are all Air Atlanta Icleandic birds..... usually park opposite gates 10-12 on the remote bays.

Was flying deadweight today into VOBB, saw a tractor attached to the S2 aircraft. Any idea what they're planning to do with that lady, since she's eating up precious space along the hangars.
