Booking Tickets in Sahara

With the  breakdown of deal between Jet and Sahara and the bad financial condition of sahara, is it advisable to book tickets in sahara for travel 3 months from now? Sahara is the only airline that flies direct from Coimbatore - Hyderabad and my choice is always to fly direct whenever possible. Also can anyone give me and idea as to how it is flying in CRJ (which they use for CJB - HYD)? I have always flown only in big jets and have never flown a small jet.

I would say booking on S2 should be fine, they will struggle for many months and probably end up eventually being sold for 25-40% of the current price.

However their fleet of 7 CRJs is grounded and may be returned (was reading this in one of the new magazines yesterday). So don't book it right now, until S2 is able to clarify how they will serve that sector.

Tsk Tsk...What a mess! I guess the Sahara group is better off dissolving the airline or selling it off to someone and exiting the airline business.


This is a much better option than keeping your planes grounded and paying the lease on these.

At the Prce they want.S2 will never sell.

I wud call their board "pathetic"


2500crores for that loss making airline? Had it been a govt airline and i wud be authorised to sell it at my wish's cost then i wud sell it for Paise 2500crores

Also note that Sahara is the only domestic airline which does not have its overall schedule on its website. Everyone else, ranging from Indian to Paramount has its schedule clearly available.
