More interesting points from BA website: Online checkin is possible from all their airports in India but preprinting of boarding pass is only on flights leaving Bangalore (Then what is the utility of online checkin?)
Wow - quite nice to hear that the same fare was available on the BA website, that normally does not happen (since the cheaper fares are available through agents).
There's always a differential pricing for weekend vs. mid-week flights (mid-week are the cheap flights).
The BA MMB (manage my booking) is very nice, I've used it many times in the past. You can enter your mobile and email address, and select a seat, meal etc. You can even check-in online (very useful since you don't have to queue at the airport, and can arrive just 1.5 hours before departure for bag drop), but I'm not sure about the printing boarding pass business.
Maybe since BLR is their newest station, they installed the latest equipment here? I doubt it, but trying to come up with an intelligent guess
Yes BA.com has been having some excellent fares of late.
I will be travelling ORD-BLR Nov 19 to Dec 22 and I got the total airfare with tax was $1170 (Indian Rupees: Rs.52,000) . Actually it was an amazing deal as the fare was only $850 (Rs.38250) but plus ridiculous taxes adn fuel charges nowadays...totalling $320. Actually for travel on some days u could get it for $1130.
I usually fly LH to rack up my UNITED miles but this time LH was asking $1400+ 300 tax=1700 absolutely ridiculous. I like LH and all and I get a lot of benefits with my status ie free upgrades time to time, but this time i will be trying BA and I hope to enjoy it! I hope to write my first proper trip report too then!
VMGopal - have no fears - BA is great (except for the FFP bit) in Economy, definitely better than LH. Both in terms of attitude of crew, as well as the IFE. You'll enjoy the flight, but miss the upgrades/lounge access/ability to earn miles!
You get to see the Thames, Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park and the rest of London's sights.
Absolutely correct, thanks karatecatman (KCM from now on please?) and in addition, if you are on the daytime flight Delhi to London, then you get the wild and desolate beauty of the Afghan mountains to your right and a view of Dover when crossing the English Channel.
The word POSH is derived from a similar arrangement. (Port Outbound, Starboard Home). Cabins on ships from England to India were booked by those who knew on this basis, though those reasons also had to do with the sun as well as looking at Gibraltar when sailing past.

Wow thanks for the suggestions everyone! I am excited to try British Airways in Nov!
So now since I have tons of time to change my seat I better do it now! I would love an aerial view of London City.
When I fly Chicago to London, should i sit in a Right side Window seat or is should I sit there BLR-LHR??? Or an both flights? What about LHR-BLR when flying out of Heathrow? I just wasnt sure what direction everyone was indicating (eastbound into LHR) or Westbound into LHR

Landing in LHR from pretty much any direction, try to get a right-side window seat.
However, on the Chicago to London journey, if the flight path goes way way North, then you may like the left-side window (and sneak open the window shade, as well as shut it before it becomes bright . . . ) and get a look at the night sky in the Northern latitudes.
LHR to BLR really doesn't matter!!
All the best, and pleasant flying, as well as looking out of the windows. After more than 33 years of flying as a passenger regularly, the thrill is still there when you spot and recognise some geographical feature.
