In the light of the current event what happens to 9W's ATQ-LHR operations? Is there a possiblilty that it would be operated by the A330?

Any clues?

The options with 9W are critical. They have dry-leased one of their A340 to Gulf Air.

So the options are either they pay a fine to Gulf Air and take the aircraft back or they stop the route.

This being a good route 9W wont stop it so they have to use a A330 but as someone already posted that 9W may fly the A330 domestic it is confusing.

They cud have flown it BOM-DEL-ATQ-LHR-ATQ-DEL-BOM but this is very long sector...doubtful

So now if 9W wants to continue they have to lease more aircraft which will put 9W in more financial probs

In this scenario, the best option for 9W would be to pay up that fine and get the A340 back from Gulf Air.

I feel that will break the relation between Jet and Gulf Air as they have tied up for some FFP benefits

How long is the lease for? I guess it should have been for a short period. They would have wanted the a/c back as soon as they received the clearance for US ops.

The 767 is going back to S2 thats for sure and they will be restarting the their DEL-LHR flights which were closed down . Infact one of my classmates dad who is pilot with spicejet told my bud that there was a nice drama conducted by Sahara Management at the DEL airport alot of pep talk to the employees to boost up their morale..

Guys what do u reckon will S2 pocket 150 and 500 crores which was given to them by Jet.???

Dont know abt the 150 & 500 crores but Sahara would have to work really hard to gain back their credibilty & woo passengers.

Of course - lowering fares & offering promotions is a good way to start
