again you ask a highly speculative question. your guess is as good as ours really.
he has already said he intends to fly them to the US. now you do the logical math and deduce the following...
you have an A345 capable of flying nearly 18hrs non stop.... what route would you use? knowing your primary markets are BOM and the US. and if you cant fly to the US making use of your range....... well you fly it to other places good enough... maybe misusing the A345 a bit.... but then again a plane in the air earns money on a route and not on the ground.
the A380?.... what A380??..... by the time it gets to IT.... they wont have to bother with the rules for US flights me thinks... judging by how late its gettin.
besides for mass transport and the number of limited airports capable of handling it.... its either FRA/LHR that they will use it in Europe.... assuming BOM is even ready for it by then
The A380s were scheduled for a 2010 delivery anyways, with the current delay, God Knows when they will be delivered [if ever] Mallya planned to use it on the BOM-JFK seating 496 pax, thats what it said in the Airbus press release.
The A350 is in chaotic mode right now and was also scheduled for delivery from 2011-2012, but now the EIS pushed back to 2011, no idea when those will come to.
The 330s are due in late 2007, what will mallya do with them if he does not get international routes , he planned to use them on SE Asian sectors like BKK/SIN/HKG etc.
But there were rumours that he was holding talks with Jetsstar Asia to use his aircraft and fly the route for him.
