Source is in Air India in charge of international planning.

The biggest airport in the world in terms of land mass is the King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It takes up some 81 square miles. Second biggest is Denver International, at 53 square miles. London Heathrow is 4.7 square miles. Busiest airport in the world, he says depends on the numbers of take-offs and landings, or passenger numbers. In that case, Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson is the busiest airport in the world, handling 76.7 million passengers. Busiest international airport is London Heathrow handles the most international passengers (but not domestic). Overall Heathrow is third, behind Atlanta and Chicago. Busiest city, i.e of all airports in the world, is London.
