India is considering an open sky arrangement with the EU. Under this, EU member airlines will be allowed to operate from any EU country into India regardless of their home country. Of course, this treaty is subject to a unrestricted access being granted to Indian carriers to the EU countries.
sounds encouraging, but as many would agree there is no point in going for it unless AI gets its planes and private carriers are allowed to fly well before the treaty.

In the mean time - it would be good to let the European carriers increase capacity to/from India - so tourism and business in India can prosper. Of course once AI/9W/IT and the likes get their chance, they can run the European airlines out of business by being better and cheaper
