The SQ 006 accident is infamous; the Taiwan authorities pointed the finger at the SQ pilots while Singapore Airlines tried to blame the airport lighting system.
Although many people blame only at the crew, they must realise that inadequate airport signs are very very dangerous. Before the accident many other airlines had complained of not only inadequate lighting at the airport but also misleading ground markings if Im not mistaken. I am not saying the accident wasn’t the crews fault, but it demonstrates how many (easily solvable) factors lead to a disaster. eP007
