Air Sahara's Intl flights
Permalink Closed

Hey guys was just wondering about how Air Sahara's DEL-LHR sector is doing any reviews about the flight....? and im sure most of you have heard Jet Airways starting the 2nd flight on the BOM-LHR sector, think its 9W 119 dep 0125 and arrival 0625 or something like that..! isn't it great! also anyone have an idea of when 9W gets its A330-200 its ready, only painting is left i think, saw pictures of the unpainted one on a.net they have chosen RR engines i think they will be using her for a Durban sector... what do you'll think....

Regards,
Saurabh

Well No news is always good news. So i guess its doing fine. AFAIK the new leased 332 which Jet is gonna get would be deployed on DEL-ATQ-LHR-Birmingham. Sorrie dont know the code for the last one. Durban who told u about that???. Any clues as to when the 343 are going back to SAA. Poor jet had a tough time handling the 3rd 343 as they couldnt utilise it for the USA service which they wanted too.

Is jet really doing well on BOM-LHR sector that they decided to go with another service or is it that they dont wanna keep the plane ideal so decide to go for another run to LHR...

looking for inputs

Well, this is not about the DEL-LHR flight but I took the DEL-SIN flight last year (and will do it again in about 3 weeks).  I think they do a good job.  But of course my view has been distorted by the crappy US airlines here and their ST service levels.  I think that I wrote a trip report about it on Anet.  I'll try to dig it out.

Air Sahara has been taken over by 9W so i feel dey wil fly Amritsar-LHR for sahara but in the name of 9W dey wil use either A310 (lease 4m SQ) or B767

Sahara has been renamed as Transjet and will be operated as a subsidary of Jet airways till it is able to eradicated its losses which it has posted in its books. They are using a 767 leased one on their DEL-LHR flights.

9W will get its first A332 leased from ILFC which will be used for the Amritsar-LHR flights..

I wonder why so much of a london fixation..

why not a new route say..

 DEL-BOM-SYD-AKL

naa thats something which is AI is famous for doing lol

its true that they have cancelled A310 but Air Sahara management was interested in that earlier. 9W is not interested for Australia and NZ now probably cos they want USA first

If indian airlines gets A330 then Chennai-SYD will start along with amritsar-birmingham-toronto

But right now due to lack of funds they are not leasing any aircrafts

Check the other thread there is no shortage of funds but rather shortage of widebody jets in the leasing market.Besides AI was planning BOM-SIN-SYD with SIN acting as a scissor hub as the DEL-SIN AI flight passengers could also connect to this one....
