UA to India??... hmm interesting.. more so because of their very tight and close co-operation with us in terms of revenue sharing and agreements via code shares.. not only do we have a lot of sales in the higher classes reflecting UA sales but we also add significantly to their ex Europe load factors every week..

many etickets are issued as UA sales and especially for corporate travellers who originate from the states, travel into India and go back.. Amex Corp also has significant networking in this area...

so its really a decision that will be thought over carefully... maybe they could afford to operate in a "non conflicting" or a "non scavenging" networking where they wouldnt directly run into us on the routes.. and in India with our current development and progress pace.. im sure there is enough to sustain legacy carriers like UA in a competitive environment as the current aviation industry in India is...

but frankly... id love to see those lovely livered 744s and T7s here :)

Also it has do with UAL being the member of Star Alliance. It has code share agreement with Lufthansa for passengers traveling to the US east coast  and with Thai and Singapore Airlines for those traveling to the US west coast.Like you said it'll be great to see B744 and T7 in UA's old and new livery arriving in one of Indian cities.Thank you for your reply.
