Had visited the INS Vikrant on Saturday. Took some pics during my visit there. They did not allow any pics from the top deck (a real pity as the view from there was really good)
You get a pretty good view of entire Indian Naval base in Bombay, including most of the ships and subs from the top deck. So that might be the reason for not allowing pics from there.
When I tried to take a pic of the superstructure of the Vikrant, it led to a mad dash by 3 naval personal towards us, asking us not to take any pics.

Were they polite or was it a sort of warning.....exhibiting that the word "Democracy" is just a farce

They were pretty emphatic in their statements. 3 sailors came bounding to me parroting "no photography, no photography". They waited around till I put my cam. back in my pocket. I could also hear muttering behind me "can't he see the signs" etc.
It was completely in the "warning" mode.
