Court to hear Kandahar 1999 hijacking case on Sept 27
Patiala (Punjab), Sept 15 (PTI) A special court here today fixed September 27 as the next date of hearing of the case of the hijacking of an Indian Airlines plane to Kandahar in 1999.
Deferring the proceedings in the case, judge Inderjit Singh Walia asked the defence to file a complete list of witnesses it intended to produce in the case related to the hijacking of flight IC-814 from Kathmandu to Kandahar.
The defence has already moved an application seeking summoning of former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah, former Delhi Chief Minister Madan Lal Khurana, an official from the Pakistani consulate, chief of aerodrome authority of Kandhar airport, Inspector General of Police of J&K, Delhi Police Commissioner and Tihar jail superintendent.
