Today i have placed an order for the AI 777 with Deaphen.

He was very prompt and agreed to deliver the same within 5 to 7 days. I am sure he would keep up to his word.

Moreso he is very responsive (except the time he is in the lawyers chamber) and keeps you updated.

Now i do not know if he has created inhouse competetion within all of us, or is he a good business man or is he just a plain old aviation lover like all of us and has made us all fall in love with the airplanes all over again.

I wish him luck and yes, a humble request, to  him if he could post on the current models with their prices, then we could try and resist......

hi bob:

haha as for the lawyers chamber... cant really help that.. a job is a job. Let me tell you more about myself, im 21 and in my 4th year of law. I am a crazy aviation enthusast and live in chandigarh. My obsession with die casts started a long time ago because my parents travel a hell of alot (infact at the momment they are on EK's 773ER flying first class to JNB). After that i discovered mr. ling who provided me with the set of MH freedom of space and hibiscus. Thts when i went mad and spent over 40,000rs in a month on planes. All of this much to my dislike.

I actually keep travelling to delhi (where i am internin till the end of this month) and did extensive research on local places which sell die casts. Infact i could find none! except for model art which was a cool place, but they had a limited range, and trust me they ALWAYS only have the normals like Korean Air cargo, UA 747, SQ 777, Beluga , etc. Infact i had a hard time dealing with them becuase the people there didnt really know which plane was which.

That and the offer from mr. ling to open up the indian market made me ake on this project. Basically dont look at me as a business man, but a crazy enthusiast (be it with the camera, die casts, etc) who can get you any model you want.

I am looking forward to more orders from you guys!

regards

nitin

Hey Dabth:

Dont worry, dragon wings is as good as herpa and all the other infact it is better. Mainly because the wings are made of reinforced plastic and hence are strong and can be mounlded into a more exact design.

Actually you will have to see one to beleive how good it is.

anyways, jumbo, this sort of business , though a very lucrative one, is not my profession. Infact, whether its model art, or me, both are supplied from hongkong since dragon wings are hongkong based.

i will get back to you about the models which u listed.

regards

nitin

And i shall await the prices on the models mentioned.

Hi all:

First of all, jumbo, the Air India 787 and 747 have not yet been released. They should be out from the company by next week or the following week. And the price should be relatively low because new releases are generally cheaper than ones which have sold more. The orbis is not available at the moment.

I have however, got a link for  you guys, basically you can look at all the models for sale and decide and contact me. We can offer you 10% off on the price quoted (price of model + shipping).

http://stores.ebay.com/Toys-King-Store

There are various special edition models available also like this pokemon release which is 55$. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130017305417

Do contact me if u need any more details.

regards

nitin

PS: The Air India Models will be released very shortly, and i assure you that i will give u guys a good price and have enough for each of u to buy.

Hey Nitin today was reading the site of www.airindia.com

Came across this page http://www.airindia.com/page.asp?pageid=193

The prices mentioned are Air India B747-400 Scale:1:500 US$ 14.00 and Air India B747-400 Scale:1:600 US$ 8.00 ( without stand).

I wanted to ask you some queries which i had:

  1. Who is the manufacturer of these models.

  2. Is it possible to us also to get the models w/o the stand and save money.

  3. How good is the quality of these models.

Hi Bob:

Manfuacturer is Schabak.
Quality us RUBBISH
I can give u one... my own personal one! I would gladly sell it to u. cuz im sorry to say it sucks.

The flag is yellow. And the stand is ugly and the landing gear has to be glued on. I thought schabak was a good company.. but my first experience with them is quite the opposite.

Also, they have a sticker instead of paint on the metal body of the plane.
