Given the current growth rate. Will a capacity of 30mn by 2010 be enough? Although amazing growth I must say.

Indian airports definitely have the potential to be close to the top of the list. I hope the Govt realizes that and opens up the airports (and allows multiple airports in a city), so the traffic can grow to it's real potential.

AKLDEL, firstly an excellent post. Secondly a humble request, is it possible to change the title to reflect Ranking Metro airports. I feel this thread could stay here for ever and work as a barometer. I am hopefull of seeing more indian airports on this list by the end of this decade.

OT, reiterating my point on capturing progress / development.

Thanks TM. I shall change the title. However, I do not have accurate figures for the other airports in India. But obviously, I'd love it if someone could post those figures. I believe they are available on some AAI website. I tried to google it but couldnt access most of the links that google displayed. However the approximate figures from wikipedia are 6mn for BLR.

And yeah i shall change the title of the thread.

Cheers

Shub

These figures show a growth rate of 41.6% for DEL. If that growth continues(Im not saying it will but if it does) DEL will have 65mn pax by 2010.

Lol Vabby!! I think you DEL Anet guys need to start a few airlines yourself to be able to beat BOM in terms of pax handled

But yes, DEL has and will always have a larger area as compared to BOM because of the extreme space crunch here.
