Industry experts, who expect Delhi to cross the 10-million mark this month itself, say it should happen latest by October. There are about 25 cities (including metropolitan areas like NCR) in the world with a population of over 10 million and, according to various industry estimates, just about 12-13 of them have over 10 million mobile subscribers. London, Tokyo, Beijing, Seoul, New York and Mexico City are among them. Karachi boasts of having 10 million 'gross sales', but industry officials put active subscribers there at about eight million......
The next Indian city expected to join this club before the year is out is Mumbai, which now has about nine million subscribers...
