My heart is finally at rest now.. i got my display case yesterday. And i had a rough time wondering which models to put in there! Luckily its huge and can fit my whole collection.
Ten V: sorry i never got back to you on the topic.. take a look.
Ten V: thanks .... well if u notice the picture.. the front glass is divided into 3 parts.. the middle part is fixed glass (doesnt open ) and the two sides are dorrs which open the normal way a door does. I have got handles underneath so as to have them out of the way.
Dabth: All the planes i collect are 1:400 i have a few 1:500's but those are just from trips where i buy them onboard.
In case u forgot.................u need to write my name in ur will with ensuring that in any such event of *&#$%@ the entire plane collection comes to me.........
Sorry i havent been posting alot on here lately.. the thing is i am interning with this law firm in delhi. And i have been reading all ur posts and have not been able to reply. I must say i am really enjoying this stint on mine in DEL because every day i have to pass the airport while going and coming to work. Yesterday witnessed a 737 right over my head. probably even closer than the planes get to u at SXM.
Anyways, as luck has it, one of my family friends is a top cop in delhi and i am hoping to ask him to get me permission to stand on NH8 to get some shots of the planes! And secondly, i have found out that the head of security at DEL is an alumni from my school in chandigarh. Lets see how that works out.. i will keep you guys posted.
Hey Nitin, as a fellow model collector let me congratulate you on a beautiful collection, i have also been considering making one especially since we are shifting to a bigger house---any ideas/suggestions as i will certainly require a bigger display case.
Nitin, have you thought about a display case for an airport diorama? The length and breadth will have to be much larger I guess. I have been meaning to get one made but it will take up half my room
yes i have infact thought of that. Did u know that most of these die cast airplane companies sell these massive airport matts. I mean they are like 30feet by 30 feet or something. and they cost only about 100-150$$. I had thought of that.. but then its to much of a pain to change my room and stuff. Though space is not a problem for me, keepin such a large thing clean and free from kids is hard.
