MEL - Indian aviation god or not?
Permalink Closed

Haha.. ever since i joint airliners.net i was always impressed by one person, this person had an indian flag on his profile, but i doubted his nationality. Then i thought.. hey.. he must be an NRI.. but then he was not....

HAHAHA you must think i am retarded... but seriously MEL, i admire your line of work.. lets hear your story about how u got into aviation.

And more importantly, you HAVE to organise a airliner-india.net meeting at some insane place very close to the planes for us!

chalo i am gonna let the rest of the members hail to the lord.

haha

Lets put it this way......Im the normal Guy you see next door.

Nothing Special,Working in a Field that I love & they pay me for Enjoying Myself.I'm 100% Indian 1st & a Christian next.

Im not sure how many need to hear this but:-

I started my carrier in East West Airlines in 1992,before moving to BDA & now part of DHL.Funded my Studies by doing a Part time Job between 1989-1992.On the way cleared my DGCA Lic papers & approved trainings on B737 & B757.

Currently I work approx 5 nights/week on B737 & B757 Freighters.Cargo is cool & def less of tension, only drawback is Night shifts in Weird Weather. But then looking at the Positive side Thats where the challenge is.

I've met Karan,Guru,Subin,Himmat,Oliver & Anuj thru Anet.Nice folks & good friends too.The rest of Anet I use Msn.

My dream is to work on the B787.I hope AI recruits soon.

I just like to Learn Every day from Anyone that knows something & you folks with your Aviation news is very Informative & Educational to me.

Thanks Again & lets make India Proud.

regds

On Mel and his night shifts i have often quoted :

Hieghts achieved and kept by great men, (read Mel)

Were not attained by sudden flight.

They while their companions slept,

Were toiling upwards in the night. (read night shifts)

Hence i have knighted him as Sir Mel and he is the first person to welcome me here, so i owe him one.

Mel is the hereby crowned the President of this site and Aseem is the Prime Minister.

PS: Needless to saay the President and PM portfolio stands valid as long as i have the Ministry of Petroleum
