Aseem - you're confusing Tiger with Jetstar Asia (now Jetstar). Jetstart started and then stopped to CCU, they're still fying to BLR though. Tiger is a different entity that has expressed the intent to fly to India, but I'm not sure when they'll actually start.

Not sure how long Jetstar Asia will continue flying to BLR. Read somewhere that their loads to the garden city are a miserable 40%. They stopped CCU despite averaging 60-65% load factor. I think CCU needs another carrier to give competion to SQ on the SIN sector.
Jetstar is still new as compared to SQ now they are even comin up with leased A330s temporarily till they are replaced by the 787s lets see if they can make a good breakeven in India or will they break-even

I can vouch for their loads being abysmally low on BLR-SIN. They had to change their policy on "provide point to point flights only" to increase loads on the BLR sector through connections. The funny thing is that SQ still goes full on most days on this sector, despite being more expensive. I think most people rely on their travel agent for intl travel, and 3K (Jetstar Asia) is probably not even on the GDS systems.
