Kurt Russell's Executive Decision and lately Jodie Foster's Flightplan....Both have a good story line as well...In fact flightplan can be used as a tutorial of the anatomy of a 747

Also, a brief will help us compile and learn more about the movie.
BACK TO THE MOIVES......
Stealth. A superb movie with some awesome scenes involving the stealth warplane which is inhuman and invincible. Josh Lucas, Jessica Biel and Jaime Foxx make a great trisome.
If you are including war movies then there are many good ones about the air war in World War 1 and 2 and even the Korean War. Here are a few which came out in the 1950s-70s:
The Blue Max 633 Squadron The Dam Busters The Bridges at Toko-ri The Battle of Britain Tora Tora Tora
Not all of them were big box-office hits, but they are worth watching for anyone interested in air warfare.
There was one I remember. Forgotten the name --- Tamil flick.
Sridevi and Kamalhasan.
Sridevi is an airhostess in Indian Airlines and meets Kamalhasan, the playboy. K tries hard to win her hand, but is rebuffed. The story ends when he is discovered dying of leukaemia and she changes her mind.
Many shots of Sridevi in the IA uniform, deplaning after a flight, IA's 737s in good condition and a great insight into operational procedures and of Madras airport. There was even a scene where Kamalhasan uses a Cessna from the Madras Flying Club to impress S who is flying a helicopter.
At one point K is seen jumping out in a parachute. S joins him. They touch the ground and next second they are running around trees in Ooty.
Had Jairam as the hero who is a customs official or officer in Air India, Trivandrum. But his life gets disrupted.
Plot was about the smuggling and drug links between Kerala and the Gulf and how J gets framed in a drug case with only his wife who disowns him suddently realising her folly and deciding to back him.
A number of shots of Air India A300s in their heydays -- very close shots of then taking off and landing, Trivandrum airport, those off to the Gulf to try and make a fortune. Gave insights into AI's operations, flight and ground.
