I am of the opinion that Isreali intelligence and military are well capable of bombing with surgical precicion, don't quite know what is happening in this case.
At the same time it is very difficult to distinguish between true and false claims about collateral damamge.
And it has been consistent in this policy always. Who can ever forget that operation at Entebbe, Uganda. There was that film and book "90 minutes at Entebbe" on the Israeli mission to successfully save a hijacked Air France A300.
Of course one can debate the human rights violations, but in today's world you have to increasingly act with lightning speed.
I only wish India learn something from Israel regarding retaliation and quick action. Of course, in India's case the adversary is not a small puppet state like Lebanon or Syria but a nuclear armed rogue state which is always trigger happy. Retaliating can mean a bigger and devastating response triggering a nuclear war in no time.
The best option for India in my opinion is to gather support of key UN members like the US, UK, Russia, France, etc and launch a quick precision strike against the terrorist camps in PoK. Pressure from the US/UK, etc must be brought on Pakistan not to retaliate against India for such action. At the same time, the total outlook towards civil security in India must change. The various arms of the security forces (read police, CRPF, CISF, RPF, GRP) must stop harassing innocent people and focus on sterilising the areas under their jurisdiction.
I was at Kashmir this summer. There was a checking at every 10-12 kms! And some places they were harassing and some places they were rather too soft their reaction on hearing that we were from BOM was like ok film city people let them go
And we had a chance to capture both these sort of actions on a handycam in a very secretive manner call it Sting Operation
