heya

im gona be training in sme time to get my Private pilot lic. n then Commercial pilot
lic. i lookd at many schools over the world and came up with Singapore Flying College.

i spoke to them today asking them about the requirements and other things

i was told that id train in singapore for my PPL and then in Perth, Australia for my CPL and its a 14th month course...

when i told the lady on the phone that i was from india and indian by nationality she told me that i needed a degree and a monthly income of atleast SIN $2,500 as it is a rule by the singaporian gov.

im givin my 12th this acadamic year and finaly chose this school and my mood is really ticked off! i was basicly interested in this school because its handled souly by Singapore airlines!!!

Dude, if you are giving your 12th std exams means that you are just 17yrs old. For your own benefit, get yourself a graduation degree in science or engineering and then think about flying.

Its too early for all this.

ur best bet is to train in the US.

The FAA/JAA licences will stand u in much better steed than the Singapore or Australian CAA licenses.

also its hell of a lot easier and faster via the EU/US for training

and before you go anywhere near a pilot school...... get ur class 1 medical done...

i've known many a bitter end to dreams... after completing the CPL from abroad... only to find themselves failing our DGCAs medicals..... whose requirements are no longer in touch with todays advances and times....

well to give my PPL exam i must be over 17 years of age and for my CPL 18 above my frnds brother started after his 12th and he already is flying with jet airways... and he is just 24 i think so times hav changed and i cant wait so mostly gona be doing it after my 12th and mostly in canada in toronto at Island Air Flight School which is for about 8 months

US is horrible its the fastest way to get a lic. as they jus run through it VERY fast n try to finish asap! about 6 months

once im bak in india i giv 3 exams to convert my lic. into a Indian pilot lic.

im not gona start actualflying after my CPL i first apply fr a job as a trainee f/o then train in a simulator fr about 2 years wich im paid to for...

cheeeers!
