Well i must say that i really loved the topic in airliners.net of starting an airline in India...


I wish to start the topic once again here this time wid fresh ideas


What wud the airline be like? what wud its fleet comprise? Who will be the board of Directors for it? More questions like financers, name, facilities, etc.


Please take effective part in this topic

Name:Indian Midland Airways.


Type:Luxury and General Carrier and Freghter.


Fleet:Mixed type fleet:


Domestic services:A319, A320, A321, ATR-42, ATR-72, dassault Falcon 2000 (charter services only)


Regional routes(Middle-east and South and East Asia):A330-200/300, B777-200/300


European destinations:A340-300, B777-300

I'll be the business strategy planner and model maker. 


My pans- go for less than 80-seaters- landing charges waved-off :).


and only two types of aircraft- and two sets of engineers and maintainence. Cutting on cost-


let's have a base close to metro cities, smaller airports, i mean and night parking at non-metro airports- charges reduced to half


let's have point-to-point service to begin with


we'll have mixed classes sure- but different aircraft for different class- so we can charge more with more facilities for higher class and be economical for the last category


We can go for city side developments for profit making (last plan in line)

Everything has to be planned well in advance. We don't come to launch party with our ideas and designs.


Security clearance, acquiring land for office set-up, hangars, booking parking bays, setting up of ticket booking office, check-in counters, vehicles for transit pax, facilities, hiring people....


And most important- Praful Patel ka ashirvad chahiye! (pun intended)


ah, i'll write more in my next post- see, i have somuch to plan- c'mon guys do u want me to take-up the CEO position? :)
