Here is the link to the rule by the DGCA allowing photography at civilian aerodromes.

I'd be scared to do that.  Don't expect all the "thullas" and "mamus" to understand the nuances of law.  These fellows can't differentiate between Apron and Tarmac.

For places like Jammu or Srinagar u need to find a camera that works without the battery they wudnt allow u to carry ANY sort of batteries on board

On flights to Jammu and Srinagar forget the camera u cant even carry any cabin luggage. every piece has to be checked innn..

Yes and they check u in a very offensive manner sometimes

lol when i was flying by kingfisher to delhi i showed the letter to the F/A at the check in counter n she was stunned n goes "Where do you work?" n i was like hahahahaha din actually laugh at her face jus smiled was awsme to she her face expression!

Just remember one thing.....Don't flaunt or boast the letter too much. And dont use it as a cover for getting into restricted areas and clicking pics.

No but i have clicked many pics last year at BOM airport and bbsr airport without any1 saying anything

As long as you are at a civil airport, you will face no problems. The letter will come in handy. Just dont try clicking pics at a defence aerodrome e.g. Goa, Pune, etc.

What were you showing the letter to her for? What does she care about you snapping planes? Unless you wanted to take her pic

You should be able to carry cellphones with a very powerful cam.

They r nuts i am not clicking their snaps.. how does it matter to them if i click a A320 in my camera
