I was booked a Air Sahara flight from Delhi to Kolkata about a week back. The series of events that happened at the airport made me feel that the service and performance of Air Sahara has taken a nosedive. Have any other SA Anetters felt this too ?
What happened to Kolkata bound passengers on 2nd June 1. Air Sahara had 4 scheduled flights from Delhi to Kolkata everyday. Apparently 2 flights (1 morning and 1 afternoon) flights were cancelled that day !! 2. All the passengers who wanted to stick with Sahara that day were booked onto the evening flight on the same day. Consequently the evening flight was heavily overbooked. 3. For some reason that day the queues at the Air Sahara counters were the longest of all the airlines and as it is it was a huge mess just to get to the Sahara checkin counters. All of a sudden all the passengers bound for Kolkata were pulled out of the queues and asked to stand in a corner. 4. After 20-30 min they were all hearded to the Sahara counter at near the entrance and just made to stand there without any information. 5. When the passengers started creating a scene they were told that they would all be booked on an IC flight and sent to Kolkata. It took about 1 hour and several more angry passengers screaming at the airline staff before the tickets were actually issued on IC. 6. The Delhi center manager told me that all of these issues will reduce "when the merger is complete".
Although I am glad that S2 took care of me and got me to Kolkata (finally) but am surprised that Jet is letting the S2 services sink so much in the merger process !!
