BANGKOK - The Thai government has said that the Suvarnabhumi International Airport in Bangkok would start commercial operations on September 28.

Thai local media quoted government spokesman Surapong Suebwonglee
as saying that the date was confirmed after a meeting of government agencies.

According to the report, Surapong said the government would have to
seek royal advice from the Thai King on the date for official opening ceremony.

Guys, I had an opportunity to see the model of the Suvarnabhumi Airport at the Bangkok (Don Muang) airport and believe me it is awesome. The new airport has a state of the art design with two runways and rapid exit taxiways. The Suvarnabhumi airport is located off the expressway from Bangkok to Pattaya.

Looking forward to landing there soon! I hope they have a bigger and better Observation Deck then the existing one.
