Looks great the A300s have always been the pride of Indian Airlines

JJ,

Very curious about the registration of this model?
Looks like an IC office in the background?

Thank you JJ, the reason for my curiosity:

The aircraft VT-EDW was the A300 that was hijacked and taken to Kandahar in Dec 99. Capt. Devi Sharan and F/O Rajender Kumar were flying this ill-fated aircraft when it was hijacked from KTM. Have flown with both of them personally. Capt. Devi Sharan still commands the A300 aircrafts and Capt. Rajender Kumar is now a commander for A320 aircrafts.

A link to refresh memories:

OMG does this mean that the models that are displayed are often the cause of sorrow.

I remember some discussion wherein when AirIndia had displayed the Kanishka model, there was some evil omen on it too.

Any corelation or is it just a matter of coincidence

Nopes Capt. Devi Sharan is on the A300. Infact a good friend of dad and i had met him abt 2 years ago on my way to KTM he was the pilot. He says that his confidence has increased by a 100 times after the incident.

humble, polite and a nice person also

Very normal for a Person to have a confidence boost after going thru a tough phase Sucessfully. Its the same in Mx when a tough snag gets rectified.
