Still many people do not know about this, especially in the AVIATION INDUSTRY.


The security still give you a tough time......and yes at non defence airports and enclaves.

Wow - thanks - we now have 2 versions of the same govt order - with slightly differing contents!!!

I think I would go with the doc from the DGCA site - not that the other one is any less authentic.

Even if you are a bonafide passenger, and at a non defence airport, still is TARMAC prohibited

Thats correct.A scheduled Pax on a Scheduled flight can click pics from Inside the Aircraft,Of Inside or Outside that Aircraft,but not at a Defence Aerodrome.



Waiting for the rule to change one day .

Still we hear incidents of people clicking pictures on TARMAC. And just my two cents, the pictures spotters click, are they illegal then. And what about the pictures of the runway, the apron, the tarmac, the control tower, the hangars et all that we click when we are on board and all that.

In-flight photography according to me is permitted except by some airlines.


By the way after a few days i ll be uploading a few tarmac photos of IC 320 and 319, Go Air, 9W A340, Kuwait Airways 777 and a An-124 Volga Dnepnr


Just give me some time i have ordered the software but havn'e received it yet thats why even other photos are pending

As I said in an earlier reply.If You are a Scheduled Pax seated inside an Aircraft,You can Click pics from Within & of outside of the Aircraft.[presumingly you are seated].


Any  from the Tarmac are Illegal.
