Its here to stay, economy is heavily dependent this time round on aviation i.e SEZ coming up around airports, Knowledge economy etc. The infrastructure ball is already on the roll, in my personal opinion, India needs a robust aviation regulator like the U.K. CAA, USA-FAA, asap. DGCA is another bastion of the left, filled with folks from WB, BIHAR & Kerala (pls don't take it personally its not meant to be be a derogatory statement, i've had a few personal exp with DGCA).
The pvt airport operators need to be regulated closely, its possible for vested interests to manipulate the present system to their advantage.
